We all have a light within. And that light is intended to be visible. It does nothing when hidden. That light can take the form of our goodness, our creativity, our honest stories and beautiful work. It can take the form of the people we help, the communities we build and the message of hope we bring to our friends. It can even illuminate what is disturbing or dark to bring understanding and truth.
The world tries to bury your light. It doesn’t really matter what name you give the evil that tears at your spirit. You are told you have no value; your light is hidden. You try and fail; the fear pulls you down. You feel your voice doesn’t matter; you don’t even try to break free.
So, the purpose of this collective is to encourage each other to do the work that matters. The work of accepting your own worth and living a life that reflects what you see as your purpose. The work of growing your gifts and using those gifts and being brave enough to let those gifts be seen by the world around you.
